Dr. Kayla Anthony MD

I specialize in treating Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Panic Disorder and ADHD. I also thoroughly enjoy helping those with grief, trauma, and emotional eating. I believe in a patient-centered approach that builds a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy and respect. I recognize the crucial importance of treating each patient as their own unique individual. In that respect I tailor my approach to each and everyone’s specific needs. What works for one may not work for another. My unique passion for psychiatry derives from my desire to help people overcome mental health challenges and lead better, more fulfilling lives.

I completed my psychiatry residency at the University of Central Florida. In the last year I served as the outpatient clinic chief whereby I was honored and recognized to have this role as a leader amongst the psychiatry residents. I am board certified through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, Florida Psychiatric Society and Obesity Medicine Association.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring all the kid-friendly activities South Florida has to offer. This includes the various parks like Sugar Sands, the beaches and the Miami zoo. I am enthusiastic about experiencing new cultures, travelling and meeting new people. I believe this enriches our lives and has helped me become a more enriched, compassionate and understanding psychiatrist.

I am a psychiatrist committed to your mental health and well-being and would be honored to work with you through the good and bad periods in life. I believe that mental health is an ongoing process of growth and self-discovery that we embark on together, not just a destination with a fixed endpoint. I would be honored to walk alongside you on this path. We can explore your concerns and develop a specific plan tailored to your needs. I look forward to taking the first step, together, towards a happier healthier you.
