I am a board certified Psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, OCD and PTSD. I’m committed to creating a very strong therapeutic relationship with my client at the center of care. I realize this most often happens with time and going through the good and bad times together. My approach is to provide a consistent, empathic and nonjudgmental space to help my patients relieve their suffering and improve their emotional well-being.
I completed my Psychiatric Residency training at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington DC. Despite the cold winters it was an honor to graduate after years of training as Saint Elizabeth’s has a rich history that dates to 1855. It was the first federally operated psychiatric hospital in the United States.
I moved to Florida in 2019, like most of us, to be closer to my family and practice in the beautiful sunshine. I feel it’s a much more comfortable environment having grown up in Cuba. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going to the beach, bike riding and spending quality time with my loved ones.
